update, 13th November 2010

Its now 7 weeks in to my University course and has been eventful in terms of general learning.

My lead lecturer was off for several weeks in the middle of a important time , a time to gather ideas and match them to the brief that he sets and we also set, so missing these vital days the creation of my graphics has went extremely slow as are the rest of the classes work.

The Sweden,Germany or Belgian deadlines have all since past, i cant go now  but i am hoping a plan that was set n motion on the train may go ahead, which is booking up to Sweden or somewhere for a weekend soon . Hopefully some other events with uni mates will be planned, i have missed a few nights out but fully plan to attend the next which will be christmas as proposed recently.

We recently held a meeting with  year tutor lecturers, here we discussed the state of equipment and general cleanliness which is without hesitation, quite disgusting, to the point there is corrosion and mold in scanners and horrid smells from certain areas. This has been noted y staff , students and administrators and is being taken up to the highest authority in the university campus, and its mine and a fellow student's job to see this through ..... being class reps.

And finally to finish off i done a book project for Advanced visual creativity, here we had to destroy books to create art, which most would be disgusted at, but its actually very fun and very interesting to do.I will post a picture of what i did with my book in a post at one point later.

Gutted!

The Sweden Erasmus exchange trip's deadline is  gone, so i'm now faced with either Germany or Belgium as a option.

I wouldnt mind any of them  its experience, but i was rather looking forward to Sweden  and the  awesome cinema thing there :o looked immence.  Ah well see in the coming weeks, semester 2 for 3 months away from Scotland... cannae whack it.

update

Well now that its been  like nearly a month into uni already i thought id give a quick update on it. so far i have deadlines for December, 3 days before we finish,  which would be the 20th planning on a wee day in Glasgow i think in December and a few nights out if the class are up for it :D:D:D:D  fun times : D might even do what  happened last year and go ice skating :D hopefully with better blades then the others.... offt those blades , had blood on them and everything; well minging.

So deadlines for the 17th and then  deadlines on the 10th of january, semester 1  is ment to be the easiest:p aye right

University

Well my first week has been somewhat confusing, we picked modules, but still have no clue as to when they actually start.... suppose that will come this week coming.

I've picked graphic communication and animation but think ile change my animation module to a more time wise choice, which is digital media... coz ripping up books is a fun thing to do:P.
Not so looking forward to the 3k proposal because it has to  show exactly what you intend to write about in the 10k dissertation in the honours year...if i can study it of course:p

The university its self tho is pretty neat, been at the union for 6 hours already this week... 4 on tuesday as we had a wait to the last presentation at 4pm. and then on friday for 2 hours as a hello and welcome thing, we even got a free drink token :P.

The first day me and a girl i know who i travel in with and  who's in the same year as me got to know people from the course and year below and seems like we will all get on great.. sorta already do by now right enough, phone numbers and facebook adresses :P faster than last year took like 6 weeks for that :p.

travelling isnt bad at all either. quite enjoyable.

so thats that.ille write again later on.

The Great Unknown

Well as my title suggests im about to go into unknown territory....university...5 days to go before i start or at least its induction, and i'm a bit edgy on it, i mean what do i pick theres 5 subjects to chose from all different and good, or what projects will i do out of the mountain i already have in my head.... which is alot, or  even what will the people be like...god i hope they are sane:p well less mad hatter than myself.

So 5 days this is Wed 15th September... and wow quite a while ago now since my mums wedding, which was excellent although i don't photograph well i tend to be well a bit.....not very nice in them, Guess dieting is still in place and i have quite a bit to go yet before i'm walking down the pretend catwalk ,hopefully.if ever.

Last update to this entry - this house is 100 haunted, weird noises coming from downstairs when the house is empty bar my self and or my sister or other family member, mostly when yer in yerself,which is mostly all psyk stuff. hmm. ghost busters ...where are they when ye need them.

Haters

Some people i know hate me having a blog, i won't name but they know who they are.

they seem to laugh and joke about me having one, because they are pathetic themselves and don't have any balls to do one themselves, which also makes them dumb w@*&£%...

so to those that don't like me having this... tough.. its staying if ye don't like it don't go on it, don't whine at me, don't mock, don't even speak about it...and learn to grow up and be normal.k.

When it all gets sorted

well i have my 2 wedding outfits sorted.

 my uni application was through but not updated to unconditional, so i sent in my hnd certificate copy to them, and it now is finally updated.

but saas as per are being picky gits and have not sent me my award notice as per i have to go hunting to see whats happend. be long calls tomorrow.

one thing thats not sorted is my weight, ive teamed up with a friend who is goin to the uni with me also, and i'm gonna go walkin/jigging round strathclyde park to loose some weight. see if that works:D:D

my suit, and the epic battle of certificate gaining

So Glasgow was as it always is busy and full of die hard shoppers, rushing around trampling on people to get the 1st of the pickings ...

But never mind that i got a nice new ted baker suit , nicely fitting, not tooo expensive and a little on the coolness i was lookin for.

Only thing i need now is a coral tie, to match with the daft thing ye wear... got me shoes quite cool if i say so me self.

And i thought the pizza hut happy hour menu was good, the casino now do a £4 menu and its fab, got a good choice and its great stuff, really impressed.

And i got some new boots for starting uni if my Certificate ever comes through the post..... leads to the next part.


The Hnd certificate from Central College  Glasgow you would think by now hat it would be in and safely stored away ad archived. how wrong.

The 5/6th of august came exam results in nothing came for me, worried i wait a day just incase, nout comes through, i email college and sqa , get told by sqa to wait 10/20 days for a reply... thats no helpin.

As for college , still havn't heard a thing. so next steps is goin down to glasgow al tribal like and kick up a fuss and find out exactly why, my motherwell certificates were in on good time so this should not have been any different. about as useless as a trap door on a lifeboat ..i tell ye!

off to the movies ...not really

ok i ressurected a old game of mines called the movies, I forgot how much fun it is making,directing and editing  them. It may be a game and have very generic looking features but with editing it can look really cool. may post one up on you tube once i make a cracker :D:D

suity and sweep

Glasgow on wednesday to buy a new suit for this wedding... i kinda wanna have a really cool lookin suit  a bit different from  classic sharp look, and a little more stylish.

I hope that i can get a good suit jacket and trousers  and then go out and find myself a cool lookin shirt to wear and shoes.

ah well find out wednesday , in at 11 meetin me uncle and off suit shoppin woopee, and i may just buy a extension to the movies game... such a gooood game.

Appears i'l be wearing a tail coat for me mums wedding... feeling the old fashion coming back, it may be quite good ; although i will feel like the ringmaster at a circus in it, oh well may be cool.

Holy cow batman : Theres a whale in the living room

ok the whale is me:p i swear i need to loose weight , most say no yer fine, but really its baaad, i said at the start of college  that i would get thin but noo  didn't work:p. so i have about 5/6 weeks left before me mam's weddin and about 3 weeks to loose weight:p before i need to go suit shoppin..

Pray that i loose pray, if yer no religious pray to the ermmmmm something:p even tho generally dosnt work just will and power but lol.

Bothwell Castle

Well so far i did nothing on the great adventure, bit more research on the area, and located possible areas to look at,  mine shafts and rocky area's,  so who knows might bring up a bit of coal once i go down , either that or wont come back up :o ...yeh hopefully not.


Once the weather changes from "lets play make a new loch in the towns(wet and windy" to "lets bake everybody in town and make cupcakes(40c)" then  ille embark on this magnificent journey. But off to the shops tomorrow in Hamilton to get some clothes as ye do. got a sort of party thing tomorrow and Saturday..... hmm time to be bored.hopefully be there for 12-1pm but knowing myself prob still be sleeping or  been awake  too long to bother going in :p .

What's that coming over the hill is it a monster!

Well recently  there has been some developments in this wee town, we had the orange walk pass by and well as the title  suggests it was Infact a monstrous infringement on a humans right to sleep. 10 bloomin 20 in the moring. All i heard was Boom Boom Boom of the drums....wasn't to impressed....but prayers were answered when at 5pm they went down a notorious  bad street here in this town, they never came back up, hopefully they all got their instruments shoved so far up that  they were rendered right-off's. but more generalised they probably went down and exited through an adjoining street.


For anyone who does not know what the orange walk is i'l explain it: The orange walk is a bunch of idiots who practice old outdated traditions of religious rivalry, this sectarianism interlinks with football culture like teams in Scotland : Rangers and Celtic or England ( choose 2 teams? I have no idea) so yeh these people as their name suggests walk around wearing orange and go to towns and cities playing instruments in a band that marches through these places and basically make a racket, all this just to prove they are still around and fighting for a forgotten cause.

The delights of the hairdressers

Well keeping with my on going blondification aka turning blonde, i popped to the hairdressers.

At this hairdressers i had to endure 1hr and 30mins roughly, of how awesome Twilight is by a bunch of old ladies wanting a piece of the lead male actors or if ye prefer their character names Edward and Jacob.

Now as harrowing it was to hear it was also fascinating, 50yr old ladies wanting a what 20-25 something male actor/s, major toyboy issues there:p

ah well after about well yeh 1hr n a half of that i stuck my other earplug in and turned up the volume making sure i did not slag of Twilight infront of these cronies ;preferred to have a face to go with my balding head:p.

least its over for a month or so. oh wait can't need to go back in 3 weeks. more twilight i guess to come, how exciting.

The secret tunnel of Bothwell castle?

Ok so recently i stumbled across a thread about a secret tunnel that is supposedly between the priory at Blantyre and Bothwell castle at Bothwell (link here http://www.secretscotland.org.uk/forum/m-1263574725/s-0/ ) i have now enlisted a friends help  in trying to fine these  tunnels or tunnel  and will be going on this adventure  when the weather turns nicer.

only problem is it is and could possibly be coal mines and if it is then its not exactly a great find as kids have already uncovered these mines. and were resputed to have played in a section of these mines and wound up at the priory end across the river Clyde.

clearly pointed out is the sections that are of interest. the donjon and the res broken marked line is a excellent place to start looking for a tunell. along with the old house that is  just  to the side where the trees are bottom right of the bottom right tower.

think a place to start is at the house uncover the mines, then move to the donjon and then down towards the river through the trees and look for anythingt hat seems as if its covered or broken or folded in.

So i finally did the SAAS app, 21 pages of it i mean seriously they just cant think oh yes this guys applied 3 times before  lets just  make it 3 pages of the vital info, naa course not.

But its done now so yas, so can't wait for uni to start gonna be awesome and hopefully better than what this year has been and last  year :p, parties, fun and work in Ayr, but not baywatch or any of that. Roll on September 20th and 2011.

Twilight and Eclipse con't

ok so i watched the film and as i suspected it was 1st class shite, the story was all over the place. let me run it down.

we start off with some kid gettin eaten or made or sired if ye know what that means, it was  quite interesting and i was like" maybe this could be good, of course that was soon scrubbed.

there is a scene that i was like OK  hopefully they will show passage of time or something to relate one clip to the next, this was the scene where Bella and Edward had a discussion about Florida, next scene they are in Florida, no cut scene showing them traveling or some sign of passage just straight to Florida.

after this it was all oh you love me and i love you but i love this other one pish, think if  the dude saw that these 2 were ye know gettin married then might back off and go K i get the picture , but instead he goes all blackmailey then she kisses em, just naw stupid.

it picked up near the end had some fights and battles and some good erie scenes but then again got pish , if i were t rate it  into sections heres what id give.

Twilight eclipse

Thank god its going to be over with  once its released, last release date is 18 of December in Japan while it premiered in the USA on 24th June 2010. i think that this fellow has the whole thing in a nutshell, except for the book part, here is a review by this person from the states, and i think he covers the whole thing.

As much as i dont like the series and as stated goes against every mythical or otherwise stated fact about vampiric lore, i am however interested in viewing the final  movie online of course not going to pay to see some tittle tattle that is dull and  without any fact or lore  within the saga.

Doctor Who :A series finale

Well that was a good finale, think the Dr is  bye bye, asta la vista, sia'nora then WHAM! Amy remembers and the dr returns in the middle of the wedding:p. and dances like a mad man, but its absoulutly fantastic:p.

I think the main thing is it was a time travel episode  in it self,  going back and forth through out the episode,  going back to the past  where the plastic Rory  and then back to the future and fighting Daleks:p.

But yeh the pandorica goes boom boom also after it get flown into the heart of the Tardis exploding in a time loop, and  that also helps save the universe from never exsisting .


so lets look forward to the  Christmas ep and series 6 :D:D:D:D

graded unit

Well i got a big fat C but to be honest I'm not fussed at all. All i had to do was pass my hnd to get into uni and that's all that matters ille do better things there anyway, i have loads of ideas like hudreds to explore and try out and they wont be confined to one place like graded unit was. I coulda done so much more if it wasn't set in stone like that project was; had a whole idea already sorted out for that as well but ach ah well. C least it wasnt a D lol. 2 c's now 1 from a lecturer that didnt like what i did anyway and had favourites and another that well i guess didnt like the type used in one haha, i liked what i did i enjoyed makin the 3 posters and dont care if they got a C coz i think they were ace = D.

foolish people

so yes i bought s shirt on friday last week, and this was for a party on the saturday but seems that anything that is not in the normal zone of clothing is seen as bad or silly , just because it is not a what they call "normal" shirt and is more holiday themed like hawaii flowery male style :p but they don't like it and brush it off as a gay shirt, what i say is that its pathetic to hate something because it's a lil different.

so really jokes on them for being closed minded and pathetic :p.

new music likings :o

recently well last night i listened to some bands i never listend to before these were my chemical romance and the all american rejects and i must say i kinda liked them, weirdly before i never really liked them infact i made sure i didnt listen to them.

But i guess curiosity ensues and it ends up becoming some what of a thing that has to be heard.

i love it when music comes back

its tooooo bloody warm, rain= shit but humidity= warmness :p so im sittin in bed with no covers roon me and still roastin so im sittin back listening to 30 seconds to mars which ive no listend to in about month or so, infact think i last listened to em in class my self hahah and continued after every one came back helped me work faster :p but yeh its very nice just sttin back and chillin out

1920-70

i swear i was born in the wrong time, i love all of this type of music and fashion, even back to 16th century and probably before that also. just decades that were ok a little unconventional in terms of sanitation and overall benefits, but wouldn't it have been simply amazing to live in these times.

think of the periods castles was the houses of that time, and the robes and cloaks they wore and superstitions gosh so much mysticism in it and shear amazement.

these days if we were to walk down the street in robes or cloaks people would think your mad and you would most definetly be locked up if you did, because people these days have no knowledge on the past . Perhaps we should seek some advice from the past to help combat whats happening these days. people back then were more united, the atmosphere was not as polluted as it is now, so no Global Warming, maybe a bit more death well... alot more death but still better than being burned alive when the sun goes critical on the planet due to over heating.

so yeh it would be good if we all started to really take some notes on past endevours, some people do and live like some of these people. mostly victorian type people and those from 1850 onwards living in small huts with no electricity or modern day appliances; it is a way of life.

i would like to be like that but have electricity. come on im a computer guy and designer, but alot still could be done.

when music makes dreams

tonight around 11:30pm i got a amazing idea, very magical and mystical and creative. it all came when i started to listen to "Nightbook" by "Ludovico Einaudi" some of this music just depicts a wonderful magical scene that got me thinking about a non animation or slight animation of a journey through a magical forest, the ones you see in movies, but not with the magical creatures just the natural majesty of a forest with daylight streaming down and when you get to the end you look up and see something like a castle there are plenty.

ive already started storyboards and will work on the images once they are drawn, i think this might be 5* in youtube if i do this properly.

the re-descovery

I recently re - descovered my love of the band the corrs, i dont know why but they always were a fav of mines. so yeh maybe a guilty secret but it out now lol. meh mock it if ye like but i love em.

Saturday/June/19th 2010

so i My mate Sara had a 21st at bar west Hamilton that would be in Scotland the UK and county of South Lanarkshire.

Anyway...

yeh i went to the 21st was daunting at first there was only 2 of us then the birthday girl came and we were all :o 21st! 21st! :p then as the night moved on more people came and we were all drinking things, i had Jinn,Rum,Vodka and Southern Comfort most of the night:p Jinn is tasty.

i also made up with a old friend from last year and we were havin a laugh and jokin and stuff , pretty good, so glad all the drama has ended and its back to a sort of normal thing. whatever normal is:p.

so yeh that went on to about 1am and then we went to asda got snacks and i came back home so did everyone else we were all tired and needed rest, but was a good night.

i also came home and then watched the second last episode of this series of dr who and wow, i was impressed, some of this series was dire and no so good, but they have made it up with this awesome ep and next weeks is gonna rock so much :d something to look forward to:D:D:D

Big yays on no more college

so... college has ended, 3 years of college is enough to drive anyone insane, mother well college for 2 years was a challenge and a half and then central for the year, it was no bad some things were terrible like a certain lecturer who didn't have a clue but i passed that section anyway.

Then there was the otherwork most of it was fun and exciting to do while other work a lil scary to do :p again think i passed that, bloody better have:p. There is things i'll miss there and things i wont miss so much, but wont get into those details lol.

But now i'm on a new adventure to university where i most Definetly! know that the work there will be 100x harder and 100% self guided, but i have loads of wee ideas, had one today whilst lookin in the sky and lookin at clouds all whispy and formed weird shapes and figured hmmm that could be a very good idea start; so ille enhance that idea when i start and post to here at a later date, like september:p.

so yeh ill post some other things through out the next two month. another post about my night last night soon coming.

today, has been long, quite boring for the most of it, but managed to watch all three x-men movies and whilst watching that i did graded unit work for college.

finally got all my research stuck down, or when i say all i mean what iv'e gathered so far, but i have stuck down a good bit and now probably tomorrow i will start concept designs for these posters, since there is like 5 weeks left to finish 3 of them, long and sleepless night approach i think :( sucks but its life.

think some good music tomorrow and lots of tea will help push myself forward, or i'l just get irritated and do nothing all day, but so need to press on and really not looking forward to these presentations, because as much as iv'e had the practice being in landed peer-ed and all i'm not exactly mr Fantastic at speaking in front of people.

Anyhoo i'm off to bed, get up bright and early tomorrow, i will be zombiefied but meh needs to be done what needs to be done.

This guy is amazing to look at, should check out his webpage- title header link.

He was he was born Marcel Duchamp in 1887 and since then he has created many interesting artworks, he used mixed art  , looking at cubism,surrealism and dadaism. his work is recognised by its humour and intention to be unconventional in his media. His legacy includes that art can be about ideas and not worldy things.

this artists has some amazing things, his art is very useful, it has or can have a purpose, some are imaginary, but most are amazing to view and has relevance to other aspects of society and the world, there is a part work that reminds me of a weather cycle, i think its entitled chocolate grinder or similar name, but it portrays the cycle of weather, from cloud to ocean and then to mist then back up to the clouds again, I found this very inteligent, he has literally made a art work out of something that is not really noticed much.
